2021 has been marked by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination campaigns to mitigate them. For R4V partners, most of the work in the first half of 2021 revolved around supporting refugees and migrants (R&Ms) to cope with increased vulnerability due to the pandemic, ensuring their access to COVID-19 vaccination campaigns and related health treatments, adapting activities to remote modalities when possible and continuing actions and projects planned in the RMRP 2021.

Overview of UNHCR context and operations.

Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) are core pillars of the RMRP 2022. As shared responsibility of all R4V partners and personnel and as crucial elements to “good programming”, national/sub-regional operations should include AAP and PSEA as underpinning components of their strategy for the response. To support partners in this effort, this document provides guidance and suggestions on how AAP and PSEA can be mainstreamed across the sectoral responses and organizational activities and ensure the delivery of safe, relevant, and timely assistance. The document also seeks to advise on how to make action collective to ensure partners contribute to building an accountable response through the implementation of the R4V response.

Evaluación Rápida Interagencial (ERI) organizada por el GTRM Ambato con el objetivo de contar con información detallada sobre los perfiles y las necesidades de los refugiados y migrantes en la ciudad de Ambato (Provincia de Tungurahua) y así fortalecer la coordinación de la respuesta operativa. La ERI se llevó a cabo entre el 28 de julio al 02 de agosto de 2021 a través de 8 organizaciones socias del GTRM Ambato.
