Abandoned Houses of refugees and migrants from Venezuela in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru
The Regional Protection Sector (with the support of a technical committee formed by NRC, MMC/DRC, COOPI, HIAS and UNHCR) developed a survey on abandoned houses or houses at risk of abandonment to determine the extent of deprivation in houses belonging to refugees and migrants from Venezuela living in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
To this end, the survey aimed to characterize the houses abandoned by this population, together with the most frequent circumstances and typologies of such abandonment. It also sought to characterize the housing situation of this population in the host countries and according to differential approaches.
