GTRM Situation Report Ecuador June 2019

This guidance note briefly draws the participants of the Regional Platform´s attention to include key gender elements into the 2020 Regional Refugee and Migrant Response Plan (RMRP). Based on the IASC Gender Handbook and Gender with Age Marker (GAM), it recommends basic optional measures and questions in order to promote a gender perspective as part of the planning process, focused on needs assessment and analysis by each RMRP sector.

Esta guía corta llama brevemente la atención de los participantes de la Plataforma Re-gional sobre la inclusión de elementos clave de género en el Plan de Respuesta Regional a Migrantes y Refugiados (RMRP) de 2020. Basada en el Manual de Género y el Marcador de Género y Edad del IASC, recomienda medidas y preguntas básicas con el propósito de promover la perspectiva de género como parte del proceso de planificación, enfocada en la evaluación y análisis de necesidades por cada sector del RMRP.

Funding Situation of the R4V Coordination Platform as of 2 September 2019

El PRRM regional cubre el apoyo inmediato de la comunidad multilateral nacional e internacional a las necesidades existentes y estimadas para 2020. No constituye un marco de desarrollo a largo plazo ni sustituye los planes nacionales de respuesta del Gobierno. Las actividades bajo el RMRP unen las actividades de respuesta inmediata y los esfuerzos de desarrollo a largo plazo.

The Regional RMRP covers the immediate support by the national and international multilateral community for existing and estimated needs for 2020. It does not constitute a long-term development framework, nor does it substitute Government’s national response plans. Activities under the RMRP bridge immediate response activities and longer-term development endeavours.

Mid-Year Report of the activities implemented in the first semester of 2019 by the members of the Venezuela Situation Response Coordination Platform - R4V - in Latin America and the Caribbean

R4V Update with information on the current situation of refugees and migrants coming from Venezuela to Colombia, Ecuador and Peru following the introduction of a humanitarian visa for Venezuelans by the Ecuadorian Government. It includes updates on the regional movements observed and the preparedness and response put in place by the aforementioned countries.

Geneva - The number of refugees and migrants from Venezuela has now reached 4.3 million and is growing by the day.
